I’m sitting here waiting for the rest of the family to get out of bed so we can leave. My wife just informed me we are having breakfast with the in-laws and an uncle wants to come over to say goodbye and we might have to say goodbye to other family and ....

This is NOT what I planned! It might be noon before we get out of here! But then we may as well have lunch.

[Update] Three hours behind schedule and we we finally on the road. Next stop for snacks and groceries we can't get n Louisiana. Then we will be on the road for real.

We are visiting family out of state. We won't be back for six months or more. Still, I said my goodbyes yesterday.
